Former LAPD detective who led the joint task force formed in 2006 to re-investigate the murders of Christopher Wallace and Tupac Shakur. The task force was disbanded in 2010 without arrests. The Shakur v. Davis complaint alleges his investigative files were relied on by prosecutors to oppose Davis's bail while being withheld from discovery, and that he declined the Shakur family's 2024 request for access (¶¶ 25, 28, 101–102, 106).
