Mutulu Shakur

Tupac's stepfather, married to Afeni Shakur from Tupac's early childhood. Black Liberation movement activist who worked at Lincoln Detox in the South Bronx. Died July 7, 2023 in Los Angeles. His estate is the plaintiff in Shakur v. Davis — the complaint pleads that he qualifies as Tupac's parent under Cal. Probate Code § 6453 and so had standing to bring a wrongful death claim, which survived to his estate under Cal. Code Civ. Proc. § 377.20.
